The New Chinese Ambassador Arrives in Iceland

H.E. Mr. Zhang Keyuan, the new Ambssador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Iceland, arrived in Iceland on the 1st of August. Ms. Sigridur Gunnarsdottir, Protocol Officer of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Iceland, received the Ambassador at the Keflavik International Airport and escorted him to his residence in Reykjavik. Mr. Wang Huasheng, Mr. Huang Weicheng and Mrs. Xu Wen from the Association of Chinese in Iceland were also present at the airport.

H.E. Mr. Zhang Keyuan was born in August of 1951, working successively in the General Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the Consulate-General of China in New York, the Department of North America and Oceania Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Embassy of China in the United States of America. From 2003 to May 2007, Mr. Zhang was the Ambssador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Ghana.
